Stocking Shifts

Shop Stock Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities

Stocking Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:30-12:30 and 12:30-2:30


These shifts are on days when the shop is closed to customers and involve interaction with other volunteers and members of staff 

Tasks include:

• unloading deliveries

• creating mixed trays of food

• quality control: checking and grading fresh food; making sure that no food is past its use-by date

• visual merchandising the shop floor in compliance with our shop policy

• daily cleaning tasks

• kitchen tasks: bagging up bread and pastries, cutting and portioning out cheese

• replenishing the bulk food dispenser
